What is Technorama?
Technorama is the traditional exhibition-contest organized by Kaunas University of Technology (KTU), which has been bringing together innovators – students, science representatives, and new technology enthusiasts – in one place for two decades.
During the years of its existence, the exhibition presented inventions from very varied fields of science: from engineering devices, rapidly growing information technology solutions, humanities, and social sciences projects to food and health innovations that have received a lot of attention in the exhibition in recent years.
The main idea of the event
For two decades, Technorama has been motivating developers of innovative technological solutions by disseminating their scientific achievements to the public, contributing to the further development of products with financial support, and opening the opportunity to present their innovations to the investor and business community.
Why attend Technorama?
For the usual Technorama participant, the exhibition becomes the first public presentation of their innovation to the public. The exhibition is physically visited by several thousand people, the numbers are even bigger in the virtual space, and the content of Technorama reaches hundreds of thousands on social media and national media – the dissemination is huge!
It is important to mention that the team of KTU Startup Space consultants helps to prepare for a quality presentation of a development product, so the participant can be assured that he/she will present himself/herself and his/her work only from the strongest point of view.
In the exhibition evaluation commission – the most famous names of Lithuanian innovations, business, and science community. Each of the members of the commission gets acquainted with the work of the participants individually, so Technorama is the best place to meet in person with the largest investors operating in Lithuania.
Every year, the best-rated participants compete for a cash prize* fund – sponsors contribute to it, and the KTU Rector’s Prize is established. In 2017, Technorama’s prize fund reached 11.000 euros!
* The amount of the cash prize is presented before taxes.
