Today, there is a growing number of companies involved in the production, sale and maintenance of equipment. Compared to recent decades, employees are required to be more scrupulous, responsible, and quick, which is why it is possible to notice a inevitable move towards robotic production. Nowadays, the development of robots and their use in the production line is becoming more and more relevant. After installing such a system, in many companies the speed of production is accelerated, physical load on staff is reduced and the production accuracy is increased. This project is needed to help companies reduce this number of employees in production, increase their productivity, and robotise production lines. This prototype of the mobile robot manipulator can be applied in all the companies concerned with the storage of goods or parts (in boxes).
This manipulator was designed taking into account the technical requirements of the company UAB “Schmitz Cargobull Baltic”. We chose to produce stronger vertical guides to avoid creating a column that requires high precision and stability. Power trains were used (3 cylindrical and 1 cone). The vertical engines of hoist and peel drives are taken from the mechanism of VW Golf Mk4 wiper with a reducer. Lifting hook gear engine MODELIS RS-455PA. Horizontal forward gear E192. Due to weak engines, the number of transmissions increased everywhere. Composite epoxy material and plastic were used for sliders and holders. A peel is made from a rectangular aluminium plate. The power supply voltage (24 V) is chosen for the easy connection of various control systems. The robot prototype measures up to 1100x700x600 mm, which makes it easier to fit it into the aisles of a limited storage space.
