Oscilloscope

Technorama 2018

One of the most important devices in any electronics workshop or laboratory is an oscilloscope. This device is used to investigate the form of the signal on any conductive point of the electronic device board, thus measuring or counting the required signal data: the frequency, period, amplitude, front or rear fronts, etc. The disadvantages of oscilloscopes used in laboratories are high cost, dimensions of the device, and the need for power supply from a 220 V power grid. The purpose of this project is to design a device for investigating the shape of a signal that is mobile, flexible, with program-expendable functions and at an affordable price for amateurs. The result of this project is a device capable of displaying the values of signal voltages at different time points, where the time is in the horizontal axis and the values of the signal voltages in the vertical. This project has been implemented in the STM32F303 micro controller, which has ARM architecture microprocessors in it. For imaging, a TFT LCD screen, controlled with a parallel interface, is used. A 5V voltage can power this device, so you can simply use a 5 V battery to give the device mobility. For the implementation of the function, an analogue-code converter is used that changes the signal that is continuous in time and in an amplitude into a discrete signal that is discrete in time and in discrete amplitude.  Then the discrete signals are processed with a microcontroller microprocessor and the processed data is then displayed on the TFT LCD screen via the parallel interface.
