“Lithuanian Chutney” with Apple Slices. “Yes” to Lithuanian Taste!

Chutney is an aromatic condiment that is widely used in Indian cuisine. It is made from fruits or vegetables, with a variety of spices. This condiment increases the appetite and enriches the main course.

“Lithuanian Chutney” does not contain pungent taste ingredients; it is more suitable for the Lithuanian market and has a mild, classic taste. “Lithuanian Chutney” is intended for meat and fish dishes and is delicious if used with goat cheese, Lithuanian cottage cheese, other cheeses. Cinnamon that is in the chutney, gives an extraordinary taste and fits perfectly with apple slices; dried plums give the condiment not only a rich colour but also a rich taste. The pectin found in apple, acting as a prebiotic, supports the natural intestinal microflora. This chutney is categorized as functional food. More than 50% of the total amount of the product consists of fruits, which is a great source of fiber. A food with a sufficient amount of fiber materials activates intestinal movements, protects against constipation, improves digestion, lowers cholesterol in the blood serum, promotes the formation of bioactive substances. Food containing fiber materials helps to lose weight as it takes longer to digest it, it needs to be chewed for a longer time, and that makes the feeling of fullness come quicker.

Ingredients: apple slices (37%), tomato paste 28% (17%), apple juice (16%), dried plums (9%), sugar, water, apple vinegar 6%, onions, raisins, salt, cinnamon, thickener – pectin, sweet pepper powder, flavoured pepper.
