IronFights

Technorama 2018

We are a group of enthusiasts brought together for one purpose – to show Lithuania what it has not seen yet! It is robot fight based on innovative technology that could include both robot creators and people who are simply interested in innovations and technologies.

We introduce to you two robots that we ourselves created – Torn and Dom. The idea of creating robots came from two team members who, one summer evening, thought about what they could do for themselves and the society in general. This is how the organization “IronFights”, the purpose of which is to show that entertainment events, encouraging the development in an innovative direction, can be held in Lithuania, came about. One of our biggest ambitions is to host a grand international event in Kaunas, a one of a kind event in the Baltic States, to bring enthusiasts from all over the world to test their strengths and their technological solutions.

We notice a tendency that people are becoming less and less interested in various films or performances; there is a lack of activities, events that can involve, grab someone’s attention, and evoke strong emotions. We notice a tendency that people are becoming less and less interested in various films or performances; there is a lack of activities, events that can make someone feel included, grab someone’s attention, and evoke strong emotions. All you need to do is simply join the group that construct the robots. We plan to gather a group of 10 teams, part of which will create robots with our help, and the other part will prepare different videos that will be placed on our website (www.ironfights.com). When all the robots are ready for battle, we will get together for common fights. We plan to do 4 sub-groups for robots of different weights and sizes.

Technical parameters of our robots:

  • The electric base of both robots, i.e. the control of electric engines, taken from the electric wheel;
  • A 2.4 GHz communication between the robot and the programming controller is used;
  • Approximate weight of one robot is 40 kg;
  • Weapons: Torn has two small 35 cm long rotating steel knives, and Dom – one of 50 cm;
  • The weapons can rotate at a maximum speed of 2200 rpm/min;
  • Maximum speed of the robots – 12 km/h;
  • Maximum load (including the weight of the robot itself) – 130 kg;
  • The frame is made of metal profiles of 20x20x1.5, and the armor uses steel sheets of 0.75 mm in thickness.
