Lithuanians can boast of some of the fastest and cheapest Internet in the European Union, and be proud that more than 72% of the population are actively using it. Thus, it is no surprise that the ever-growing part of the population shop online. Over time, this has become our daily routine, and with the rapid development of technology, online stores are created more and more often. According to the data of the EU statistical agency “Eurostat“, 44% of the Lithuanian population in 2016 used the services provided by online stores. And the consumption of such services just keeps rising! This of course once again proves the potential of this business area.
However, as far as online sales are concerned, businesspeople should not forget about one of the business spheres the full potential of which is not yet used, yet it has many business opportunities – online auction websites. In Lithuania, only three of them (besides cars, real estate and state auctions) can be found, and their potential is not exploited (lack of investment, advertising). I accidentally read this thought once: “People who buy things and do not use them to rob themselves.” These words stuck in my head, until finally I was about to create an online auction website where people could sell their things that they do not need anymore.

Here everyone can take the first steps when it comes to their business and test the potential of the product they’ve created. My goal is to apply this online auction technology in Lithuania and to successfully promote entrepreneurship and financial independence in everyone.
